Here are my Spring’15 Developer & Administrator Maintenance Exam Notes. The exam was relatively simple with just 6 questions for Developer and 7 questions for the administrator exam.
As per the maintenance announcement email the following were the topics for which one has to prepare.
Salesforce Certified Administrator–Spring ‘15 Release Exam
You will have 3 attempts to pass the exam, there are 7 questions, and the passing score is 72%. The exam objectives include:
- Describe the Enhancements to Chatter
- Describe the Duplicate Management Feature
- Describe the Capabilities of the Lightning Process Builder
- Describe the Manager Groups Feature
- Describe the Capabilities of the Analytics Cloud
- Describe the Enhancements to Reporting
Salesforce Certified Force.com Developer–Spring ‘15 Release Exam
You will have 3 attempts to pass the exam, there are 6 questions, and the passing score is 83%. The exam objectives include:
- Describe the Capabilities of the Lightning Process Builder
- Describe the Manager Groups Feature
- Describe the Capabilities of the Analytics Cloud
- Describe the Enhancements to Reporting
Wave – Salesforce Analytics Cloud
Some of the important points to note about wave are
- It helps you explore millions of data points
- It can be accessed from mobile devices like iOs, Android etc
- It can help you share findings & collaborate with others
- The wave data
- Can bring data from cross business process
- Consume data from multiple sources including from Salesforce and external sources
- It can consume – structured, semi structures or unstructured data
- Wave can scale
- Wave is the cloud
Chatter
Some of the important Chatter enhancements to note are:
- Now administrators can create new task action in drop down menu on the Chatter feed
- Can create task from a chatter feed
- You can add this action from the publisher section
- Check the actions that you can perform on existing chatter post
- Chatter Questions to Case
- Can escalate unresolved Chatter questions to cases
- Can use Lightning Process Builder to create cases
Salesforce 1 reporting
- Users can get the report notifications by subscribing on the report
- Each user can subscribe up to 5 reports
- There is a new Subscribe button on report
- Users can subscribe to reports based on a notification criteria – the end users can set the conditions
- Users can also schedule i.e. set timings of the notifications and how they get the notification (as of now they can NOT schedule for other users or groups)
Force.com
Lightening process Builder
- New graphical process builder to Automate tasks
- Administrators can now create entire process at one place instead of multiple rules
- It eliminates the use of apex in some cases
- More actions are available than a workflow rule
- The action types supported by Lightning process builder are
- Create a record
- Post to chatter
- Lightning Process Builder is not a replacement for approval process or validation rules. It however does almost all the actions (except outbound message) that is in workflow.
General enhancements
- Publisher actions are now called “Quick actions”
- Renaming of terminology in the setup area – “Actions in the Publisher”
Manager Groups
- Users can share records up or down the management chain
- Users can share Manager groups through manual sharing, sharing rules and apex managed sharing
- Manager groups can NOT be added to other groups
- You can enable Manager Groups from Organization-Wide Defaults
- Users with only Salesforce and Chatter Licence type can be included (Portal licenses not allowed)
Import accounts and contacts
- Import accounts and contacts from 16 sources is implemented
Duplicate management
- Admins can identify delicate by defining “Matching rules”
- User data.com technology (license not required)
- Administrators can control when to save duplicates and when to reject by making “Duplicate rules”
